A novella so small, so crisp, and so to the point. Enjoyed it to the core!
The sum-up..
After that moment of leave-taking from love, there is the leaving.. and once left, one would discover the ten thousand things that one still carries - memories of touch, scent and sight.
It’s only after leaving its discovered that the city within him has changed, and its roads wind to different destinations. After the end of love there is the unloving, when he can engage in the ceaseless hunt for all those things to be taken out, and somehow try discarding them, and trying the new paths that come … but as he fights against the new roads and try, futilely, he will return to what he had before.

Once upon a time, I took a holiday. I went around the desert state of India. I had fun with a friend, who decided to come for the trip, with a two word convincing effort - “chalo na”. That was when I enjoyed myself. I enjoyed life, and time flowed the way I wanted.
Since the trip, a lot has changed. I’ve changed. More work, and less time to live. I’ve missed the time of living the moments, and have since then been living for the big bang. For an event when something will change me, something will make me feel that the time’s come, to hang my boots, put my feet on the balcony, and watch the time go by. Ofcourse, since I’m in remorse, the big bang is still awaited. But in the mean time, I miss the feeling when my offs were laid back. Being known as the guy who’s on the sofa, when the days went away sleeping, and the nights were just about just chilling out with friends.
But, the past 10 days at work were nice. I did perpectually nothing, being on the role I’ve played with panache - I’m on standby. No regrets, BG gave me the feel of living the moments again. Atleast the moments that have passed, but were captured on camera. My camera. 600 pictures were taken in the space of three months, but not visited again. Not siffed through, not seen again, after they’d been captured. Now presenting the pics to the people who care to look. Worth the time. Worth the effort. Worth the many moments.

10 days, of complete silence. Out of the world - literally. No connectivity. No running back. Enough to deafen each one of us when we sit and observe ourselves. Just sit. 17 hours of staying awake, more than 12 hours of sitting. Nothing more, nothing less. Sit and observe.
Some kgs, 1 inch, 10 days of poha, and loads of gyaan. A feeling not experienced before, and this is good. Real good. Real worth the time.
New word in my life: Equanimity.

Realisations over conversation today…
A woman who makes u drop-jaw the moment you see her and before you talk to her is HOT
The woman who is good to talk to, and pass time with, hang out around, is COOL.
This was simple. Never thought of it. Now I have.

In Bhopal. It rained today. Lying on the grass in the garden, was re-going through the day. Morning flight from Mumbai to Bhopal. Had not slept the whole night. I kept dozing on and off in the uncomfortable seat. All this while a young girl sat by my side. Average to good looking. Green / gray dress. My conversation in a 1 hour flight to Indore stop over - approx 5 sentences. A 40 min break at Indore - my conversation - 1 sentence. Another guy comes on at Indore. His converation - stopped counting after a few sentences. Was I sleepy? Or was I missing something when not doing “R”?

Relationship with Girls can be classified into 3 types:
- Stocks: The volatile part of the market. Need them to ensure u have “fun”
- Bonds: The security part in life. You need to have to go back to them at the end of the day for a good night
- Bank Balance: these are your friend circle, on whom you rely during financial crunch situations, to take you off the problems caused by market failure.
One requires Bonds (read girl friend) for security and constant rate of return, but at the same time you can’t deprive yourself from the fun of stocks - the volatile option. You may mistake a bond as a stock and flirt in the market, but might need them to be taken in as bank balance if you want a quick exit.
So, should one delve in stocks from time to time, while keeping the bonds safe too ?
If you stick with the bonds for a while, you need not worry about their safety. Just don’t expose them with stocks; else u will be in financial (read love) crunch. As far as investment in stocks go, its totally upto your risking capacity and market favorability (which changes as you move around the globe).
What must be realised, is that one may flirt with bank balance, but can directly convert them to a bond. Bank-balance to stock is a rarity. Vice-versa is an easier option though.
